What this page says in short

  • Free to read and cite. Quote us, link to us, and use the material internally. Attribution is appreciated and republication in bulk is not permitted without permission.
  • Requests usually granted. Ask at truth@humanaudit.ai and we normally say yes with attribution.
  • No warranty. The site is provided as is. We work hard on accuracy and we publish corrections openly, and we cannot guarantee any outcome.
  • Third-party marks belong to their owners. Reference does not imply affiliation or endorsement in either direction.
  • Delaware law governs. HumanAudit Inc. is a Delaware corporation.

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using nhigovernance.com (the "Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Site. These Terms form a binding agreement between you and HumanAudit Inc., a Delaware C-Corp ("we", "us", "our"), the publisher of the Site.

2. Nature of the content

The Site publishes educational and informational content about non-human identity governance, security frameworks, published security incidents, standards, and vendor landscape. The content is written by the editorial team and, in some cases, commissioned or guest contributors. Every reasonable effort is made to ensure accuracy, but the Site is published on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

3. Not legal, compliance, or professional advice

Nothing on the Site constitutes legal advice, regulatory advice, compliance advice, security architecture advice, investment advice, or any other form of professional advice for your specific circumstances. Always consult qualified professionals, legal counsel for regulatory questions, a qualified security assessor for compliance questions, and credentialed practitioners for security architecture, before making decisions based on content you read here.

This is particularly important where we discuss:

  • Regulatory frameworks (NIS2, DORA, EU AI Act, HIPAA, PCI DSS, GDPR, and others).
  • Incident-response actions or breach-disclosure obligations.
  • Vendor selection, commercial terms, or procurement decisions.
  • Audit, certification, or assurance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, ISO 42001, CSA STAR).

4. Acceptable use

You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of others. You agree not to:

  • Use the Site to transmit any material that is unlawful, defamatory, or harmful.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any portion of the Site, our servers, or any connected system.
  • Use automated tools to scrape, harvest, or systematically extract content without permission.
  • Reverse-engineer our interactive tools.
  • Impersonate us or any of our contributors.

5. Intellectual property

All content on the Site (text, design, code, graphics, tools, and compilations) is the property of HumanAudit Inc. or its contributors and licensors, and is protected by copyright and other applicable intellectual-property laws.

Personal-use reading and quoting

You may read the Site for your own purposes. You may quote short excerpts with attribution to "NHI Governance (nhigovernance.com)" and a link to the article, consistent with fair use / fair dealing principles.

Sharing with colleagues

You may share Site links internally within your organisation. You may cite, summarise, and link to articles in internal presentations, training, and reports, attribution appreciated.

Republication

You may not republish, mirror, translate, or repost substantial portions of Site content on another site or in a commercial publication without written permission. Requests to truth@humanaudit.ai; we usually say yes with attribution.

AI training

We do not grant a licence for our content to be used to train machine-learning models, large language models, or retrieval-augmented generation systems intended for commercial distribution, without a written licence. If you operate a model-training pipeline, please respect the robots.txt directives we publish and contact us for licensing terms.

6. Third-party links and references

The Site links to third-party websites, documents, and resources, including standards bodies, vendor documentation, regulatory authorities, and academic publications. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or availability of third-party resources. A link is not an endorsement; where we wish to endorse or criticise a third-party resource, we will say so explicitly in the accompanying text.

7. Vendor mentions and reviews

We review, compare, and profile vendors independently per our editorial policy. Our statements about vendors are our honest editorial opinion or sourced factual claims. Vendors who identify a factual inaccuracy may request a correction via editorial@nhigovernance.com.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or course of performance. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, free of viruses or harmful components, or that any information presented is current or correct at any given moment.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall HumanAudit Inc., its officers, directors, employees, contributors, or agents be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising from (a) your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Site; (b) any conduct or content of any third party on the Site; (c) any content obtained from the Site; or (d) unauthorised access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content.

In no event shall our aggregate liability to you exceed the greater of (i) the amount you have paid to us in the previous 12 months (if any) or (ii) USD 100.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold HumanAudit Inc., its officers, directors, employees, and contributors harmless from any claim, loss, liability, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of (a) your use of the Site; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any law or third-party right in connection with your use of the Site.

11. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Site shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, mandatory local consumer-protection laws continue to apply and are not excluded by this clause.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The "Effective" date at the top reflects the current version. Material changes will be announced on the Site. Your continued use of the Site after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the remaining Terms will otherwise remain in full force and effect.
